  • Mayor's Holiday Tree
    The tree is lit as a reminder of the city's utility assistance and home maintenance program.  Available to Prairie Village residents who qualify.  Past donations have assisted Prairie Village families for over twenty years.
  • Franklin Park Gazebo
    • Started by Joan Peschka and Charles Zesky
    • Funds are still needed to complete this project
    • The gazebo is in the design stage
  • PV Arboretum

    Established for Friends of the Prairie Village Arboretum to make gifts.

    Mission is to enhance citizen participation in continued development of the parks, establish a friendship and memory gift vehicle for pledges, establish an award to be made each year on Arbor Day, create a wildlife habitat, and to establish a wedding arbor in Porter Park.

    • Originally established to support the symphony program
    • Funds are now used to support the Arts in Prairie Village:
    • Shooting Stars scholarship
    • Civic Orchestra
    • VillageFest Band
    • Memorial Art
  • Skate Park
    Funds were donated to the Foundation to help build the current skate park located on the Municipal Campus.
  • Philips Memorial Fountain

    This fountain was commissioned by the family of Bette Philips, a long-time City Clerk, as a gift to the City in her memory in 1987.

  • Memorial Trees
    Trees have been donated throughout the years in memory or honor of loved ones.

    Tree in honor of the 50th Wedding Anniversary of Ben and Rosemary Munday

    • 4 trees in memory of Bonnie Pinsker
    • 10 trees in memory of Mark MacFarlane
    • 25 trees in honor of Robert Viscek
    • Tree in memory of Eula Willis Wise
  • RG Endres Gallery

    The R.G. Endres Gallery is located in the Municipal Building at 7700 Mission Road. The gallery has a monthly showing of local artists with a reception on the Second Friday of each month.  Municipal Foundation funds are used to maintain the gallery.

  • Sister City Committee

    The Prairie Village Sister City Committee

    The objective of the Prairie Village Sister City Committee is to develop relationships with a city in other nations that promote friendship and understanding. We have recently formed a sister city relationship with Dolyna, Ukraine. Our Mayors have asked us to focus on exchanges, especially in the areas of education, cluture, city government, and commerce.
